What We Do

READ
We read closely group-selected books and literary materials.

WRITE
We write responses (thoughts, feelings, suggestions, questions) to the readings in our journals.

DISCUSS
We share our responses and give feedback.

WORKSHOPS
We create and facilitate workshops on teacher and student literacy; planting seeds of empowering literacy, and growing and developing strong personal, and racial self-identity.

PUBLISH
We (group and individual) publish workbooks, essays, articles, short stories, and books.

SUPPORT
We provide personal support and encouragement to members of the group.
