What We Do

We read closely group-selected books and literary materials.

We write responses (thoughts, feelings, suggestions, questions) to the readings in our journals.

We share our responses and give feedback.

We create and facilitate workshops on teacher and student literacy; planting seeds of empowering literacy, and growing and developing strong personal, and racial self-identity.

We (group and individual) publish workbooks, essays, articles, short stories, and books.

We provide personal support and encouragement to members of the group.
